Who are they?

Step Up Somerset was set up in 2020 to implement a strategy for supporting Somerset residents who may find themselves in difficult positions in their working lives.

I would like to thank the Kontrolit team for all their hard work in getting the Step Up Somerset website completed and launched in such a tight timescale. The support and responsiveness of the team was excellent and crucial in getting the project delivered on time. The website is a very important part of a county-wide strategy to support Somerset residents who may find themselves in difficult positions in their working lives, so it was hugely important for us to launch on time.

What did they need?

Step Up Somerset needed a website which was easy to update, and which they could develop further as they grew. Owing to the COVID-19 pandemic, the need for the website was a priority and it had to be turned around in a short time. Kontrolit was on hand to provide a website which not only meets their needs, but was able to move from design to pushing the site live in a very short time!

What was the solution?

Step Up Somerset is built on KIT, our CMS platform, which benefits from a whole host of features that make Step Up Somerset's life easy. Using our CMS, the website is easy to update and maintain. We also were able to add some bespoke modules at the end of the project too! These included a secure area, which allows Step Up Somerset to lock down certain pages they only wish people with verified accounts to see. Also, to help with news and events, users can post their own news and events which Step Up Somerset can then publish once they are approved.
