New feature - Ebooks
Ebooks are electronic versions of traditional print books that can be read on your web site. Our Ebook simulate the physical turning of a book page using Silverlight technology.
You can provide an online version of offline marketing materials such as:
- Company Brochure
- Product Catalogue
- Pamphlet and Leaflets
What can a Kontrolit Ebook do?
- Unlimited books hosted on your site (no need to use a third party system)
- Unlimited pages in each book
- 3 Zoom levels
- Thumbnail navigation for different pages
- Full screen mode (outside browser)
New component – Scrolling Text
Create components that scroll text. The following options are available:
- Behaviour - Scroll text or alternate text
- Direction – Left, Right, Up and Down
- Height – adjust height of scrolling area
- Content – Place any type of HTML content inside the list e.g. bold text, links, pictures etc. #
New feature – Import/Export all site content
We can now export most site content into a series of CSV files. This content can then be imported into new versions of Kontrolit via a special import wizard. Where sites have not had bespoke code added upgrades to new versions of Kontrolit can now be much quicker and thus much cheaper.
New Feature Accordion Menu
A new component type is available called an Accordion Menu. The advantage of the accordion menu is that the user can navigate multiple nodes of the menu system browsing for content without navigating away from the page.
The menu structure is built in the same way using the menus and menu items admin pages. Thus existing menus can be converted to accordion menus relatively easily.
Updated Gallery Slideshow
The gallery slideshow now has 27 different transition effects to choose from.

Registration options now available:
- Automatic approval
- Requires approval
- Hide registration (members inserted via administration panel)

Updated Media Manager
We have revised some of the core code of the image and file manager to enable it to integrate with normal browser functionality such as the back button. We have also made some code improvements to the speed of the media manager resulting in a smoother user experience.
