Forum Updates
The following modifications have been made to our forum module:
- Copy of any sent messages are now logged
- First part of the forum post is displayed as you hover over the post
- Easier facility for administrators to re-order their forums
- New word filter for forum posts and comments to filter out bad language
- Report abuse button
- New facility to view peoples posts
- New option to hide your signature in the My Account area
- Mark topics as Hot Topics
- A trail is left when moving topics so old links are not lost / broken
- New spam filter using Akismet
- New icon to show any posts that you are / have participated in
- New unsubscribe from topics option
- New user online notification next to any post that they make
- New facility to group sub forums

OpenID
What is OpenID? Quoting from the OpenID Foundation's Web Site
"OpenID eliminates the need for multiple usernames across different websites, simplifying your online experience.
You get to choose the OpenID Provider that best meets your needs and most importantly that you trust. At the same time, your OpenID can stay with you, no matter which Provider you move to. And best of all, the OpenID technology is not proprietary and is completely free."
We have now integrated an OpenID login facility into Kontrolit websites.
Report Abuse
For websites using comments or a forum, we have now bolted on a new report abuse facility which allows website visitors to report abuse if they feel a forum post or website comment is offensive or derogatory.
Latitude / Longitude Finder
For websites with a members directory there is now a facility built into Kontrolit to automatically lookup latitude and longitude co-ordinates based on postcodes entered.
Mailing List Resume Send
For incomplete mailing list sends, rather than having to resend an entire mail again, we have incorporated a new resume send facility to our mailing list module.
