Role ManagerRole Manager

The Role Manager has two main purposes, it allows administrators to control the actions of other site editors and secondly by allowing you to turn off certain functionality the interface can be easily simplified for low-level editors.

The role manager allows existing user types to have admin panel permissions modified and for new roles to be created.

The following preset roles come as standard:

Role Name Description
Administrator Access to all Kontrolit functions except setup scripts. Includes ability to program new roles. Preferred role for Kontrolit partners.
Editor Prepares content (text and images) for publication.
Editor - Basic Prepares content (text and images) for publication in a simplified interface.
Moderator Administer and moderate forum discussions within the site guidelines. No access to admin panel.
Publisher In charge of authorising new and modified content for public release. Includes editor rights.
Publisher - Basic In charge of authorising new and modified content for public release in a simplified interface. Includes simplified editor rights.
User Customers, Forum Members, Members and Mailing List subscribers.
