Preview of Kontrolit Version 3.12

The latest version of Kontrolit is soon to be released and is full of new features to increase the productivity and flexibility of your website.

Kontrolit 3.12 Saves you Time

Version 3.12 removes the need to remember to update your xml site map by generating them at intervals automatically. In your admin panel you will be able to choose if you wish the site map to be updated daily, weekly or monthly, these regular updates remove the problem of remembering to update the site map and additionally ensure search engines receive information about any changes made to your site, helping to improve its visibility.

Kontrolit 3.12 includes many features to improve its usability and to speed up common tasks within the admin panel. It’s now possible to reorder menus alphabetically in a single-click and the addition of a super-friendly URL button means you are able to automatically generate a super-friendly URL rather than typing it in yourself.

Tagging is quicker

The new version also improves the way you tag documents, making tagging faster and easier to use. You can add new tags from the editor page within the admin panel and also search for a tag and navigate through a large number of tags faster and more efficiently.

Another new feature is the added ability of being able to make bulk changes to the site structure (static pages). This means if you wish to change the layout of several pages or an entire site you can do so in a single action, this feature is a real time saver. Version 3.12 allows you to choose whether to apply the structure changes to a single page, a whole section or the entire site quickly and easily.

Further additions to the admin panel include a new site summary on the admin panel homepage. This tells you at a glance information such as total number of pages, images and customers, providing a fast way to monitor the content and progress of your site.

Another feature new to version 3.12 is an improved mailing list module. With this latest version you can see a list of your subscribers. You can also manually remove subscribers from the admin panel.

New Payment Processor Option - Sagepay

Version 3.12 also provides you with a new payment option increasing the payment flexibility provided by Kontrolit. Sagepay is an online payment service which is simple to use, easy to manage and can be completely integrated into your site, giving customers reassurance when paying as they never leave your site.

Updated Editor

Kontrolit 3.12 also has an updated Editor with many functional improvements. The new editor is more stylish and smoother to use making it quicker and easier for you to add and edit your site content. The addition of page blocks, which outline every single block of text, make the page layout easier to control and review. Although you don’t need to be technically minded to use this editor for those that are, you’re now able to precisely control the structure of text with the Element Selector, which shows the hierarchy of HTML tags around the current cursor position, providing a clear way to manage them. In the new editor you also get additional features when creating a table such as being able to automatically insert headers.
