Not wasting time after the launch of Kontrolit 3.7, we are pleased to announce that Kontrolit v3.8 has been released.

Members Directory

The most significant change in this release of Kontrolit, was the addition of a new module, the Members Directory. The Members Directory was built in response to a few requests we received from customers who wanted a facility to display and search a list of their site members. The new members directory module makes use of Bing mapping technology to show and search a list of the registered members details who have opted to have their details displayed on the website.

The directory allows the website owner to:

Set the default center point and zoom level for the map
Choose the default map style
Tag members profiles so these can be filtered / searched via these tags
Make use of the Bing 3D mapping technology

Product Enquiry Only System

We were approached by some of customers who wanted a shopping system to display their products online but did not want to have the full ecommerce payment solution. In the light of these requests we have created a basic shop option for Kontrolit, which allows customers to browse products online but rather than hooking up to a payment processor an enquiry is logged and stored in the admin panel.

New Twitter Component Type

There is now a new Twitter component type available. The Twitter component type allows you to insert a link to a Twitter feed so you can display your latest Tweets on your website.
