Kontrolit 3.14 Released

The latest version of Kontrolit and Kontrolite has now been released and includes many new features to improve the usability and productivity of your web site.

Spreading the Word

Do you use Twitter? Do you have a Facebook profile? Are you a member of LinkedIn?

If so you'll be pleased to know that Kontrolit version 3.14 now integrates with popular social networking sites Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter giving you the option to update your profile and status on these sites as and when you create new documents from your website’s admin panel.

Simply add the right Facebook, LinkedIn or Twitter account details in your website settings, then when creating documents you are given a new panel of options for syndication. When the document is authorised, Kontrolit sends an update to Facebook, LinkedIn and / or Twitter.

There is no need to login to your Facebook, LinkedIn or Twitter account to make an update to your profile about new content on your web site. Everything can now be handled and updated from one place.

Short URLs

To allow you to get the most out of your tweets, we have also hooked up with Bit.ly so you can use their short URL service to shorten links and therefore allow you to include more information in your tweets / posts. This works on the website so that as you type your links into your syndication tweet / post, the URL is automatically picked up and transformed into a shortened URL via Bit.ly meaning you do not have to worry about how it works, you just keep typing away.
