Downloads

What is it?

A method of transferring files like PDFs, Microsoft Word Documents, and Microsoft Excel Spreadsheets etc. from the web server to the visitors machine.  

Why use it?

The Downloads module can be a central store for:

• Microsoft Excel & Word Documents (xls, doc, xlsx, docx)
• Microsoft PowerPoint presentations (ppt, pptx)
• Video and Audio (wmv, ra, mp3, avi)
• Archives (rar, zip)
• And many more

What can Kontrolit Downloads do?

• List files in a table with a link to download, an associated file type icon and the file size to be downloaded
• Rate downloads
• Leave comments on downloads
• Search downloads by tags in a “tag cloud”
