Kontrolit have been shortlisted for the Collaborative Innovation Category for the 2011 Somerset Business Awards.
2010 Support Centre Launched
The Kontrolit support centre provides a fast and efficient one-stop-shop for all customer support and billing issues.
2010 Partner Programme Launches
Since 2007 Kontrolit.net had several successful informal partnerships with local design companies to produce websites. In fact those partnerships were so successful that is has become our preferred way to deliver sites. We win because we stick to our main skills in web development, our partners win because they stick to their main design skills and best of all the end customer wins because they have a bigger team working on their site all concentrating on what they are good at.

2009 A Change of Name
A new year and a new name. As a company we had become more and more focused on our core product Kontrolit, a CMS for business web sites. Our old company name of Soft Solutions International didn’t really represent what we were now about. So new company name Kontrolit.net is born (same company number).
2008 Move of Office
Kontrolit move offices on the Lufton Trading Estate to new offices in Goldcroft.
2007 Kontrolit Version 3 launches
Kontrolit has a radical overhaul and is rebuilt from the ground up. The code base moved to asp.net and the admin panel completely is redesigned to be much more user friendly following feedback from our customers
2005 Kontrolit Version 2 launches
Kontrolit has a radical overhaul to allow for the ever growing list of functionality. The number of modules available with Kontrolit had steadily grown over the previous few years and this new version helped tie all of these together in an easier to use interface.
2002 New Offices at LuftonTrading Estate
We needed some more space so moved to new office space on the Lufton Trading Estate.
2001 Kontrolit CMS Version 1
As a company we had been building web sites for some time. We quickly realised that we could save our customers time and money by not starting each project from scratch. A lot of websites have very similar foundations and by starting from a pre-tested block of code and adding a unique design on top we could produce websites more quickly, with more functionality and to a higher standard. The Kontrolit Content Management System was born.
2000 Internet Services Launched
Matt Read and Tim Howes joined the company in 2000 and we started launching our first browser based software for the internet, a website!
1998 Company Founded
In August of 1998 the company was founded by Paul Howes. The main services offered by the company were in software design and validation.
